Thanksgiving Burlap Banner

 Hey All-

I have made another Thanksgiving decoration! Again, I am really excited for Christmas but I have held back on  putting Christmas decorations up. So i decided to make burlap banner in honor of Thanksgiving. I have seen these on Pinterest, and I have finally made them! So easy and cute!

What you need:

1/2 Yard if that of Burlap

Sharpie

Stencil

Twine

Hot glue gun

Start by making your triangle, I didn't use a pattern or any special dimensions. I used a Shutterfly gift card  to create my triangle.

Put the stencil over the burlap, make sure that you have something underneath so the sharpie doesn't bleed through.

I wanted to leave them just outlined but some letters didn't look so great not colored in.

Easy Thanksgiving decor! Let me know what you do with yours!

Homemade Chili

Hey All-

Today was our first snow fall of the season! Which I am not to happy about and it feels freezing out! So, this morning I decided what better weather than  to have chili!

Homemade Chili Recipe

What you need:
Tomato Juice (46 oz can)

1 lb. of Ground Beef

2 Cans of Chili Beans

2 Cans of Kidney Beans

2 Cans of Black Beans

1 Can of Fire Roasted Tomatoes

1/2 Onion

Hot & Medium Chili Powder

Ground Cumin

Parsley Flakes

Also, just eye the seasoning of however much you want in your chili, I put a lot of HOT chili powder in mine!
Let simmer on the stove for more than 4 hours let the seasoning really get in the chili!

First cook your ground beef in a skillet and I added mild chili powder in the ground beef to add a little more spice!
You can do everything in one pot less dirty dishes!

SIMMERING!

And its finished! Top with cheese and oyster crackers! Also, pair with a peanut butter sandwhich yummm!

Wedding Shadow Box

Hey Guys-

So today I had a day off of work and well today was CRAFT DAY!!! Yay! So I have had this wedding shadow box on my to do list for about a month! Oops so Alex ask "Are you ever going to get the shadow box done, you keep doing other crafts when you have this one right here?" Hmm...he has a good point, I should get that done then I can check it off. So today was the day!

I have been Pinteresting ideas of how other people did their shadow boxes, so here is how mine turned out.

The flowers were the most difficult to get in the shadow box! Ugh but you just have to close the lid on it! I felt so bad for my flowers!

What I put in my shadow box:

Dried Bridal Bouquet

Wedding Invitation

Wedding Program

Garter

Cake Topper

and the most important to me are my bouquet charms

I tried 5 different ways I wanted to place everything on the board, and this was the last one I came up with. I had to get rid of a couple things I wanted in there but I love the way it turned out.

There will be more on the blog of the crafts I did today, let me know how your wedding shadow box goes!

Banana Peanut Butter Muffins

Hey guys-

So I have been in a baking mood since the holidays are coming up! So, my husband always wants me to get bananas at the store because he "SAYS" he will eat them? Yeah right! So I have put the ones that went bad in the freezer so I could make recipes out of them instead of them going to waste. But yet I still keep buying the bananas hoping that we will eat them each time! haha NOPE!

Anyway, I wanted to make banana muffins. So I made banana peanut butter muffins!

Here is the recipe:

What you need:

2 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 Tbs baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup of milk
1/3 cup of creamy peanut butter
3 Tbs vegetable oil
1 egg
1 cup of mashed bananas
Some honey to go on top of muffins!

Preheat oven: 350 takes about 20-25 minutes!

Mix all of the dry ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl. Then add the wet and mix until combined.

So i drizzled honey on top of half of the muffins (the ones in the back). Just to try and OH MY GOSH!!!!

They are so good! My husband Alex loves them! I guess we will be making these more often! Let me know how your family likes them!
